Flutist, Amy Tori, is an active orchestral and chamber musician in Los Angeles. She has performed in many prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Disney Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ford Amphitheatre, and Tokyo City Opera Hall. Performers she has worked with include Prince, John Williams, Clay Aiken, Michael Tilson Thomas, Hot Club of San Francisco, and the Magical Mystery Tour Band.
Amy is a founding member of Aeros Quintet, an all female woodwind quintet dedicated to arts education. In addition to being on the Artists Roster of Young Audiences, New York, Aeros won a residency in outreach at the 92nd Street Y. Aeros Quintet was also featured on the new CD by Hot Club San Francisco which was released by Azica Records. While in New York, Amy also appeared with New York Theatre Ballet, Distinguished Concerts Orchestra International, and The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas.
Amy is currently a flute teacher with the Harmony Project at Los Angeles City College. Before moving to Los Angeles, Amy taught flute at Bronx Charter School for the Arts, Bronx Lab High School, and Children’s Storefront School in Manhattan. Amy received her Bachelor of Music from Eastman School of Music and her Master’s Degree from Manhattan School of Music. Her principal teachers include Linda Chesis, Bonita Boyd and Anne Diener Zentner.
